Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Corbett Safari Planner, we strive to provide a transparent and fair cancellation process. Because our services involve coordination with government departments and third-party hotels, the following refund rules apply to all bookings made through our Ramnagar office.

1. Safari Permit Cancellations (Jeep & Canter)

• Government Fees: As per the regulations of the Jim Corbett National Park Forest Department, the Park Entry Permit fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once the permit has been issued.
• Our Service Charge: If you cancel your safari before the permit is processed, we will refund 50% of our agency coordination fee. Once the permit is secured, no refund will be issued for the advance payment.

2. Hotel & Lodge Booking Cancellations

Refunds for accommodations depend on the specific hotel’s policy and the timing of your cancellation:

• 30 Days or More Before Arrival: 75% refund of the total booking amount (excluding permit costs).
• 15–29 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of the total booking amount (excluding permit costs).
• Less than 15 Days Before Arrival: No refund will be provided for late-notice cancellations.
• No Shows: No refund is applicable for “No Shows” or early departures.

3. Payment Structure Refunds

• Advance Bookings: The advance payment made to secure your vehicle and permit is used immediately to process your request and is therefore subject to the “Non-Refundable” terms mentioned above.
• Gate Payments: For Jeep Safaris involving a “Payable at Gate” amount (e.g., ₹4,000), no refund is necessary as this amount is paid directly by the guest at the time of the activity.

4. Cancellations by the Forest Department

In rare cases, the Forest Department may close certain zones or cancel safaris due to:

• Extreme weather conditions or flooding.
• Administrative reasons or VIP movements.
• Safety concerns. In such instances, Corbett Safari Planner will assist you in applying for a refund from the department or rescheduling your visit. Please note that the final decision on these refunds rests with the government authorities.

5. Refund Processing Time

• Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
• The refund will be credited back to the original payment method used during the booking.
• Any bank transaction charges or convenience fees incurred during the initial payment are non-refundable.

6. How to Request a Cancellation

To initiate a cancellation, please send an email to corbettsafariplanner@gmail.com with your Booking ID and reason for cancellation. Our team in Ramnagar will review your request and get back to you within 24 hours.
